I witnessed two scenes this weekend that struck me as worthy of being put on film as “Bangkok experiences”. The first would have been a few seconds in a television commercial, the second, a few minutes in a Hollywood movie. One of the scenes was in Sukhumvit, where I have returned to live after a short 9-month absence. The other scene was in the Ratchada area, which I have recently abandoned to return to the comforts of ‘my’ Sukhumvit.

The Resort 5th Anniversary Party

The photos are crap because I was just using my phone camera, but I took them at the Resort on Thursday night. It was a special party for Resort’s 5th anniversary.
I went to the party with three friends.
Outside the front door, alcohol distributors were making nice with free drinks. I was handed a glass of Hennessy whiskey on the rocks as I entered, and throughout the night we made runs out front to pick up free bottles of beer that I think was called Federbrau. In spite of all the free drinks on offer, we also managed to kill an entire bottle of Johnny Walker Black Label that is part of my membership.
And the girls?
I couldn’t actually count them, because the club was packed to the rafters, but there must have been 200 to 300 girls on. The ones not in dance costumes were in white cocktail dresses, many of them a chiffon see-through material. They looked like a couple hundred angels floating around the place.

Shit Hot Member Clubs: the Resort and Sky Club

Last night I went to . It was my second visit to this member club. The differences between this visit and my first one were several. Last night was Monday, my first trip was a Friday. Last night I arrived sober at 9:30 pm, while on my first trip I arrived intoxicated just before midnight.
And this time I was a member. That’s because last time, when I arrived fairly drunk and with a credit card in my wallet I paid for a 20,000 baht one-year membership. It’s my third G-club membership, having previously been a member of , and a current member at .
Let me tell you briefly about the Resort and Sky Club, both of which I visited this week.
