A good friend of mine in Sydney works as a private escort.  For years now her marketing has focused on Cracker.com and ads in the Telegraph.

Today she launched her own website.

Yes, the photo above is my friend.  If you live in Sydney and you like your girls white, curvy and with that special “girlfriend experience” then take a look at her new website, then make a booking.  She offers a truly specialized service.

Sunset over the River Kwai

My favorite go go dancer (mfggd) and I went on a three-day-weekend trip to Kanchanaburi Province over the King’s Birthday weekend.  I described the first day of that trip in Part 1.

One thing I didn’t mention about Friday was that we spent some time with the lady at the Felix Resort Hotel who arranges tours.

The infamous Bridge over River Kwai

Planning a getaway

Well, the weekend of 5, 6, 7 December was a 3-day holiday because the 5th is the King’s birthday.  My usual Saturday-Sunday client decided to take advantage of the long weekend to get out of town, which freed me up to do likewise.   My first thought was to go to Chiang Mai, but there simply weren’t any seats left on the trains, and the planes weren’t flying yet following the takeover of the airport by the PAD, who were protesting against the government.

So I decided to go to Kanchanaburi Province, just 2 hours away by bus from Bangkok, but a place that I’d never visited before. In 2005 I planned to go there, but had missed the trip when my mother died and I flew back to the US.

I checked with My Favorite Go Go Dancer (mfggd) to see if she was interested in traveling with me and got an enthusiastic “YES! YES! YES!” from her.

Koh Samet and My Favorite Go Go Dancer

Koh Samet is a small island just a short boat ride away from Bang Phe, south east along the Gulf of Thailand from Bangkok. I went there last weekend for my third trip to the island (with the third different girl) across three years. Each trip has been a virtual carbon copy of the other two.

Getting there is easy. A one-way bus ticket from Ekkamai Station is just over 160 baht, and it’s a 3 ½ hour ride to Bang Phe, then a wait of 20 minutes or so until you can hop a 50-baht ferry for a 35 minute ride out to the island.

It’s possible to get a speedboat for about 250 baht per person, and on my first trip to the island that’s exactly what I did. (more…)

หิ่งห้อย

Sunday, 19 October 2008 · 7 Comments

The Thai words are hing hoi (หิ่งห้อย) and the first time I ever heard them was about two years ago.  I was working in an English school, and I saw a group of more than a dozen students early one Saturday morning at around 7 a.m.  Curious what they were doing together at such an early hour, they explained to me that they were about to catch a van to go out of town for the day.  They planned to go see the hing hoi.

They then asked me a most perplexing question:  “What” they wanted to know “is the English word for ‘hing hoi’?”

Hmmmm…… let me see.

I first established that I wasn’t mis-hearing, because the phrase “gin hoi” (with a hard-g sound) is slang for eating a girl’s pussy.

Laughter all around — no, not ‘gin hoi’ … ‘hing hoi’.

Okay, I said, I know ‘hoi’ means ’shellfish’ so…

“no, no, no” they all cried out.  It’s different.
